About Me
My work in leadership development began long before my professional career, it started in my youth. As a peer educator and student body president in high school, I learned early on what it meant to listen, to advocate, and to bring people together around shared goals. Those experiences shaped my lifelong commitment to social justice and to helping others find their voice in leadership.
In my early twenties, I taught etiquette and social grace to young people and later conducted undergraduate research on youth leadership development and perseverance, studying how community engagement and nonprofit membership can influence success. Over time, I became deeply rooted in work that empowers others to thrive, whether through mentorship, education, or organizational systems that help people do their best work.
Professionally, I’ve spent more than 25 years leading advancement operations and strategy across higher education, social service, and global nonprofit organizations, including the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Pratt Institute, and The New York Climate Exchange. I’ve helped institutions strengthen their fundraising operations, improve organizational systems, and build teams grounded in trust, collaboration, and purpose.
I founded The Collaborative Edge Strategies to bring all of this experience together, offering consulting, speaking, and training that center both people and process. My philosophy is that effective leadership is relational, strategic, and deeply self-aware. When leaders understand how they show up, celebrate their strengths, and remain mindful of their challenges, they create teams that feel valued, included, and motivated to excel.
My values, collaboration, accountability, equity, and innovation, guide everything I do. I integrate principles of social, emotional, and cultural intelligence to help leaders and organizations navigate complexity with confidence and care. Through my work, I aim to build environments where people can grow, communicate honestly, and thrive together.
Whether I am facilitating a leadership workshop, helping an organization redesign its operational systems, or mentoring emerging professionals, my goal is always the same: to help people and teams build pathways to shared success.
If you’re ready to strengthen your team, your strategy, or your systems, I’d love to explore how we can work together.
